A high-resolution photograph is best, but if you only have an older, more pixelated photograph or one that has sepia tones, our artists can surely work with it as long as you tell them what you’re looking for.
Next, you’ll want to choose an art medium: oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, charcoal, or colored pencil.
If your recipient has a favorite, that’s perfect! Go with that. If not, you’ll want to take into account how your subject will look in each medium, your recipient’s overall style when it comes to home décor, and their favorite pieces of art.

Once you’ve made those decisions, you can communicate with your artist anything specific that you’re looking for. Say you have a photo of the building in winter and you’d like it to be spring in your painting.
