Why a mother is important in our life

Mothers, like all people, are imperfect.

They struggle, they make mistakes, and no doubt, have let us down at some point. But they also have 1 role that absolutely no one else on the planet can fulfill.

They are responsible for giving birth to you; to literally breathing life into you.

Without your mother you would not exist. THAT is the 1st reason your mother is one of the, if not THE most important person in your life.

The Role of a Parent in a Child’s Life is ever-changing as we get older.

Our mother and father model the behavioral traits we eventually take on. Mom provides the loving, nurturing environment that allows our creativity to flourish and our cognitive development to grow.

But beyond birthing you, for most of us, our mother was also our first:

  • Protector
  • Teacher
  • Inspiration
  • Motivation

And our guiding light. For many of us, Mom was the one who was always there through thick and thin. Flawed, fallible, but irreplaceable.

What are the qualities of a good mother?

I identified above what our mother means to many of us, and some of the roles she has played for us over the years.

A good mother doesn’t have any illusions about being perfect, but she does strive to learn from her mistakes and to get a little bit better each and every day.

Similar to the Qualities of a Good Father, a good mother actively spends time and engages with her kids, often puts the needs of the child above her own, takes ownership when she slips up, and is always there to guide without being over-protective.

But a “good mother” isn’t just one thing.

There are many different kinds of great mothers and each mother (and father) is different from day to day.

That being said, there are some common Parenting Styles Child Psychologists Prefer.

Curious as to what those are? I highly recommend you take just a moment and review my highly shared post.

What do you say on Mother’s Day?

Most of us lack the words, descriptive imagination and depth of feeling to really convey on paper everything we feel.

So these Mother’s Day quotes are the perfect solution for your Mother’s Day plans this year!

I literally scoured the web, looking at dozens of sites and hundreds of Mother’s Day quotes.

If you just Google Mother’s Day inspirational quotes, a lot comes up.  Unfortunately, a lot of them are not great.  Too basic, too generic, too sarcastic, overused or about as emotional as a physics textbook.

Many are OK but by people you’ve never heard of.

Thus the list I’ve got here represents the best of the best.  I’ve culled the mediocre and boring to bring you only the best . . .
