Best Jobs For The Career Thrill Seeker

For some of us, work is just a place we go to nine to five and then return home to our life. For others among us, a job can be everything we have, and there is also a small percentage of us out there that want more than just the regular everyday job.

In fact these people want a job that keeps the heart racing and the adrenaline pumping. If you are one of these people, below are just a few ideas for a career with thrill-seeking capabilities.

Bomb Disposal

This job, even from its title, seems crazy but it is, in fact, one that is incredibly popular. A bomb disposal technician was once thought to be only available to the military; this itself was always a misconception.

There are, of course, specific cases where the military has a logistics division that can be assigned to certain disposal cases. What the truth is, though, is that this job is frequently carried out by charities that visit countries post-conflict.

These charities will have specially trained EOD teams. Teams that will scan the areas with metal detection equipment, and dispose of the explosives in a way that does not infringe on any humanitarian rights.

There are, of course, divisions of the police and third party companies that offer postings to deal with similar situations.

This job, although it is thought to be incredibly dangerous, is in fact, when carried out properly very safe. You will need to have nerves of steel and an excellent mind to be able to tackle this career.

A Career At Sea

For an absolute thrill ride, a career at sea is like nothing else. This is down to one thing and one thing only, that is the unpredictability of the sea. There are many careers at sea you could think of undertaking.

The obvious choice for most is some form of a naval career. What if the military life is not for you? Well, if you have nerves of steel and absolute love and respect for open waters, then why not join a fishing crew.

To some, this sound ludicrous but for the adventurer, there is nothing on earth that will get your pulse racing like every trip you take on a fishing boat.

This is undoubtedly one of the most dangerous career choices in the world. There are two things you will need should this be your career choice. Number one will be a life jacket, and number two will be a maritime accident attorney. No matter what you think, at some point, you will need both.

This career choice may not be for every thrill seeker, but it is the ultimate in careers that are not for the faint-hearted.

Corrections Officer

Now, this may seem out of place, but when you look into the details of this job, you may find the career you never knew you wanted.

Some people presume this is somewhere between a police officer and a security guard, and those people could not be more incorrect. This career involves bravery, brains, tact, and patients. Never in your career will two days be the same. On one day, you could be helping an inmate straighten out there head for their release in a week. Alternatively, the day after you could be diffusing a riot caused by the same inmate.

With this as your career choice, you should prepare for the excitement and a little injury to boot. Most of all, you should prepare for job satisfaction.

One thing that must be said, when it comes to choosing this as a career choice, you must be of a certain nature. Not every inmate will be to your liking, and you must have the ability to turn off personal emotions at certain times.

Emergency Services

This list would not be complete without incorporating the emergency services into it. What more could the thrill-seeker want or need?

Considering joining the emergency services could fulfill your every need when it comes to thrill-seeking. You will also have options based on what you want from your career. If you like the thought of speed being the key to saving a life, then any of the three would serve you well, but most of all probably ambulatory services.

The thought of being seen as the hero, then the fire service would be for you. To join the fire service, you would need certain things not required by the other two.

Last but by no means least, perhaps the thought of joining the police force gets your heart racing?

Taking all these into account, you could set yourself up for the ride of your life and the career of a lifetime. What is more, you will be protecting your local community, and you may get to slide over the hood of a car.
