Ok, we did. We won’t lie, we think that the thought of exercise and staying super healthy, to a point where it is almost regimented, is just too hard to deal with.
There are so many rules and restrictions, and for someone who isn’t fully committed to it, it can often feel like the worst thing in the world to try and stay healthy. But, who said that you have to follow the rules of health to a T? No one did.
There are different limits to be healthy that we think you need to explore. It’s not all about eating your greens every day and running 5 miles each day to get your fitness up. It’s about slowly making some lifestyle changes that will allow you to feel so much healthier in the long run.
Here are a few of them that we think you should consider making today.
Those Nasty Habits
We want to start with these first, as we think a few of you out there might have some nasty habits that won’t suit you well as you get older.
Nasty habit number one is smoking. We get that once you get a taste for it, all you can think about is your next cigarette, and how good it is going to feel when you smoke it. Well, rather than thinking about a cigarette, why not think about a vape pen.
They’re the next best thing to smoking, and it simulates all of the things people associate with it. You can get the best e juice with nicotine in it, so you’re still getting your fix. But, the trick is to lower the levels of nicotine over a course of weeks, until you realise you’re suddenly at 0. Vaping doesn’t contain as near as many harmful toxins as smoking does, so it’s definitely worth trying today. The second habit is binge drinking.
This is where you wait all week, just to go down the pub on the weekend and drink your body weight in alcohol. If you’re going to drink, do it in moderation rather than all at once. Binge drinking is just so harmful to your body!
Are you really having to ask yourself this?
Well, if you are we don’t blame you. It’s so easy to order a takeaway rather than cook yourself. But, you risk putting your body at such harm. They have so many fats, sugars, and salts in them, that too many over the years will cause health problems.
Find quick alternative recipes from the internet that will replicate your favourite takeaways, but without the added health risk. Yes, it might mean you’re cooking, but if you get your partner to help as well, it shouldn’t take too long!
Peel Yourself Off The Sofa
It’s about time that you learn how to peel yourself off the sofa.
We’re not saying that you need to get up and run about, because being healthy isn’t all about it! But we do think you should try and have more of an active lifestyle by getting out and about. Even if it is just going for a walk with friends, or even walking to the shop rather than driving.
