Are you booking a trip to Disney World sooner rather than later? If so, then it is worth knowing some of the common mistakes that people tend to make on this vacation. These are just some of the issues that you can run into and the best ways to avoid them completely.
The Wrong Shoes At The Water Parks
We recommend that you do wear flip flops when you visit the water parks.
Either pack these as separate shoes or consider just wearing them instead of taking your trainers with you. The reason for this is that it’s not recommended that you try and walk around barefoot. There are a few problems with this. First, you’ll scorch your feet on the blisteringly hot ground.
Second, you might find that you pick up a few infections because thousands of people will be walking across the same floor as you. You might find that you need athlete’s foot treatment by the end of this particular vacation and that’s never a pleasant issue to deal with.
Speaking of the wrong shoes, you also need to make sure that you choose the right ones on the days that you are going to be walking around the theme parks.
It’s important that they have the right level of padding. Disney World is huge and you’ll be walking at least a couple of miles every day. If you don’t pick your trainers carefully, you’ll have blisters by the end of the vacation.
Booking Reservations Late
Aside from the main tickets, there are a few different reservations that you will need to book when you visit Disney World.
This includes the fast passes for rides as well as the restaurants when you might want to dine.
Fast passes open up sixty days in advance of you heading over there if you’re staying in a Disney hotel. Make sure you’re on the ball here as these go fast and some of the most popular rides have lines over three hours long in the middle of summer. As for the restaurants you can book these much further in advance.
Be Our Guest and other popular restaurants run out of reservations early in the year so don’t wait around.
No Plans
Finally, there’s a lot to see and do at Disney World.
Tempting as it may be, you shouldn’t try to head here without having plans in place. Ideally, you should make sure that you are planning out each one of the days that you are going to be there.
This includes the rides that you want to do and the shows that you want to see as well as dining and character meets. This is incredibly easy on the My Disney Experience App. it will make your trip here with kids in tow far less stressful and certainly more magical.
There are definitely some issues that you can run into when you’re visiting Disney World and exploring it for yourself.
Luckily, they are all rather easy to avoid so you don’t need to fall into these traps planning your own vacation.
