Planning your proposal can be nerve-racking and exciting all at the same time. We have come up with four romantic ways to make your proposal perfect. Whether you are hoping to pop the question with a big gesture or something more intimate, there’s something here for you.
To make it extra special you could consider hiring a photographer to capture the moment and don’t forget to pay extra attention to the type of ring you buy, read this by London Gold to help you get inspired on what setting your ring should be.
Vacation Proposals
One of the most popular ways to propose is whilst on vacation.
If you are going to do it this way don’t just pick any random location. Choose somewhere you both have a connection with to make it that little bit more personal or even a place that is on both your bucket lists. Once you have chosen your ideal location, it’s time to decide how you are going to pop the question.
Think about what your partner would like best, maybe it is a beach sunset, at their favourite restaurant or maybe on a boat trip.
Scavenger Hunt Proposal
The best thing about being in a relationship is the little private jokes and experiences you share together.
Why not use this to create a scavenger hunt proposal, leave little clues for your partner at all their favourite spots or places you share memories. Write notes like ‘head to where we had our first date’ or ‘your next clue is where we shared our first kiss’, have family and friends there to help you deliver each clue.
Then lead her to one of your most favourite spots to pop the question
Home Proposal
If you or your partner are not a fan of public proposals then we think proposing in the home you share is a perfect romantic setting.
This is a place where you have created a home and made memories so why not add an extra special memory by proposing. Start by sending them out of the house, you could organise with their friends to take them on a spa day. Whilst they are out of the house you could start decorating with candles, flowers and balloons.
Get creative and spell out ‘will you marry me?’ in balloons on a poster. An idea we love is creating a ‘love nest’ on the floor and turning the light off to have glow in the dark stars spell out ‘Will you marry me?’ on the ceiling.
In Front Of Family And Friends
Sometimes the most romantic way is to propose surrounded by loved ones.
Gather all your nearest and dearest family and friends to surprise your partner, then get down on one knee and profess your love and propose for all your loved ones to share your special moment. Or for a more subtle approach organise a meal so they won’t suspect a thing then make your proposal during a toast.
We think these four ways are truly romantic and we hope you do too.
