They’ll give you a list of things that they think your home needs working on, and hey presto! You’ll have a list to follow that will not only make your home easier to sell, but you might even be able to up the price that you put it on the market for.

The more money you can get, the better off you’re going to be.

The thing you might forget is that your home could be worth more than it was when you first bought it, so as well as the changes you’ve made to it, or are going to make to it, will mean you have more money to go towards your new home.

Now, this is a dream for any of you who are seriously struggling to pull together the money to facilitate this move, but can’t stay in your current home!

Pay To Go Through Different Companies

When advertising your home, you will often find that it can get a little bit expensive.

Companies will offer their different prices, and those prices can be so high. And that’s simply to advertise your home, let alone pay for their services in terms of being your estate agent.

But just going through one company is seriously limiting yourself, and it’s no wonder that you’re not getting the attention that you need.

So have a quick look, an see what prices estate agents are charging simply to have your home advertised. Some will have deals that will make it slightly cheaper, and some will come as a package, meaning you get ongoing support with the sale.

You might also want to think about using social media to try and spread the word about your home. You don’t often see people doing this, and we’re not too sure why.

Everyone seems to sell everything on social media, and you always hear about people saving to move out, etc. So it seems like the perfect platform to advertise your home on, for free as well!

You just need to make sure you’re keeping the exact location secret, because promoting your home fully for the world to see on Facebook, can be pretty risky.

It’s no secret that criminals use social media to track down vulnerable houses, such as ones for sale, or when people are going on holiday!

Up The Curb Appeal

This is almost essential if you feel like you’re really struggling to sell your home.

If you really are struggling to get people to even look at your home, it’s most likely due to the images they’re seeing, and the vibe that they’re getting from your home.

You also have to compare yourself to other homes on the market for the same price as you, because they might be the ones attracting the attention.

So start off simple, and have a look at the outside of your home, and see what the first impression you think people are getting. Some of you will have paid less attention to the outside of your home, and more to the inside and that might be where you’ve gone wrong.

Take your driveway for example. A new driveway looks crisp and modern, and can massively boost the curb appeal of your home.

All you would need is a paving company to come and do the work for you, and it might even add some value to your home! You can then take a deeper look, and see what else it is that you might be missing, that other homes have!

The more work you put into this, the more you’re likely to get out!

Stop Being Picky With Offers

This is another thing that a lot of you might be doing, and that’s saying no to people who are either offering you the asking price, or just a bit below.

We understand why you would want the most, but if you’re looking for a quick sale, sometimes you just have to say yes to the offers that you’re getting!

If they’re far too low, then we understand why you would want to wait. But don’t want someone who is going to offer you more, when you have people for the taking in front of you!
