What could be better than having a hobby? Nothing much, really. You have some time for yourself to do exactly what you love.
But as we grow busier by the day, it’s hard to find the time to spend on your hobby. You have to go to work, hit the gym, spend some time with the family, and only then you can have time for doing what you are truly passionate about. In other words, it’s hard to have a hobby when our days are filled to the brim with stuff that we have to do.
But fret not. You can still find a hobby that you love if you’re busy. You just have to be strategic about it. Mainly, you have to answer the question of what is not time-consuming that you love doing. Well, if you’re having a hard time answering that question, we’ve got a couple of ideas in mind to share with you.
A LEGO collection is far more fun than it actually sounds.
Have you ever thought of starting a LEGO collection? While it may sound strange at first, LEGO’s are a pretty fun way to let your mind wander a bit, and building a LEGO collection can actually pay off with time.
See, certain LEGO sets are very rare, and if you buy smartly and invest a little time n building a collection you can even return your investment (not that you have to return investment on a hobby).
eBay and Craigslist will be your best friends when it comes to hunting LEGO sets. Just make sure to do a bit of research before spending money, because you can buy a knockoff if you aren’t sure what you’re getting.
Cooking, and more importantly grilling, can be great hobbies as they can double as a great dinner time opportunity.
And, while we’re on the topic of busy, we can’t overlook the fact that cooking is a great hobby for us dads. See, every family enjoys a delicious dinner, so why don’t you learn how to cook it.
Some of the best cooks in the world are also world-renowned dads. And, ideally, you can pick a specific type of cooking that you enjoy and become great at it.
Grilling is one example of it. And don’t worry, if cooking and eating meat is not exactly your thing, there’s a lot more than you can do on the grill (for example grill vegetables).
A project car can sound time-consuming, but you can take your time with building your dream vehicle.
And, finally, have you ever thought of starting a car project. There’s a big chance your wife will hate you for doing it, but if she doesn’t, then why not, right?
Yes, a car project is expensive, but it can also be prolonged in time, so you don’t have any real-time restrictions going on. Ideally, if you’ve never done this before, start with a fairly cheap and small car. If that’s your thing, you can go onto bigger and more expensive vehicles as you get better. And, of course, you’ll be able to sell your invention afterward.
